Creating an Environment For Success

  • “This is the third video course I have taken from you. I have enjoyed all of them and have gained many new ideas from each one. I like how some of the material expands on previous courses. It reminds me to use some of the earlier ideas that I got as well as develop them further. I love these video course for several reasons. First, it is very convenient to do this in my own home after my kids have gone to bed. Secondly, the material is current and very applicable to both the classroom and athletics. I hope you develop another video course, because I would take it even though I am maxed out on the salary schedule. It’s hard to say which topics were the most valuable as they all seemed to have information that I can use. Thank you for another wonderful course!”

  • “Creating an Environment for Success was interesting, entertaining and presented practical information I can use in my classroom or sport. I loved the format of this course. I could work from home and I was not dependent upon someone else’s time schedule. I plan on taking as many of these classes as you develop. I highly recommend classes from Educational Resources!”

  • “I think this is an excellent course. I would highly recommend this course to all teachers, young and old. A very refreshing course yet packed full of practical ideas that can be easily implemented into any teacher’s classroom. It provides a nice variety of topics to help one look at their learning environment and provides a teacher with strategies to help improve the classroom environment. Not only will this course be beneficial to you as a teacher but more importantly improve the success factor for your students. Good stuff!”

  • “The course, Creating an Environment for Success, was very enjoyable and stress free to complete. The lessons gave me time to think and re-evaluate my teaching strategies. I now have some new ideas on organizing my classroom both in looks and student success. The opportunity to stay at home and complete this was a blessing to me. With teaching and a family, I could easily fit this into my busy scheduler. I would recommend this course to others and look forward to taking another course in the near future.”
    Barbara Sieger, Westlake, OH

  • “I thoroughly enjoyed the course and was pleasantly surprised at how much I really learned. Not having taken a video course before, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I found that I learned just as much as in a traditional setting. The content was valuable in both realms of my career and I plan to implement many strategies in each. I would recommend this video class to other educators without any reservation.”
    Taylor Biehl, Fairbury, NE

  • “After multiple college degrees and additional certification coursework, time with my family is more important to me in the afternoon and evening rather than traveling to a college and spending ’seat time’ in a classroom. This format allowed me to work in the very early morning and/or night while my family was sleeping. Furthermore, I found the content of this course to be very practical and based on the true practice of successful educators. I found the video presentations to be most excellent. The book readings were very concise, applicable to the educational setting and very readable. Thank You!”
    Roger Howard, Independence, OH

  • “I enjoyed taking this course because of the content and the way in which it was presented. The information covered in this course is relevant to my everyday teaching and coaching profession. Many graduate courses that I have taken deal with topics or information that I cannot use or apply on a daily basis. Creating positive attitudes and environments for success were very helpful topics that were covered. Overall, the videos and articles will help me become a better leader and role model for young kids. I would definitely take another video course like this one.”
    Mark Church, Roscommon, MI

  • “This class has been an energizer. I think I will be a happier teacher in the fall because I have so many new and worthwhile ideas to bring my teaching to life. This video class is well organized and methodically laid out. It was very easy to follow. I knew what I had to do before I began each assignment. I plan to recommend this class to other teachers at my school!”
    Priscilla Doland, Bellevue, IA

  • “Creating an Environment for Success is a positive course that stimulates a personal desire to become a great person. The constant positive thoughts motivated me to read thoroughly, rewind the videos, think about ways to make a difference and correctly answer each question. This type of course is ideal for me. I have two very active young girls, I’m very involved in my teaching, coach golf, own a home, have a wife……..all of which take time to be done effectively. This course allowed me to work at my own pace and truly has gotten me to act on being a better coach, teacher, father and husband. Thank You!”
    Harry Haylock, Turner, ME

  • “I am so thankful that one of my preschool parents recommended this course to me. I found the material to be relevant, informative, applicable to my positions of teacher and director, and at times, quite inspiring. The format was great for a busy teacher. The presenters each had a somewhat different viewpoint and they all had points to make to improve a person’s teaching and/or coaching. The change in format was also beneficial – I’m glad that you included a few books and articles to read. I think that there was a good balance in the materials, with some of it being practical and some of it inspirational. As a teacher who has daily contact with preschoolers and their parents it is beneficial to have both. I felt that the emphasis on goal setting, communication, and being positive and loving were especially valuable.”
    Joan Prusinski, Westlake, OH

  • “I wasn’t sure what to expect when my wife talked me into taking this class. I had never taken a class this way before and wasn’t real comfortable trying it. However, after taking this class, I am glad I did. I thought the content was extremely informative and pertained to me more than several other classes that I have taken in the past. I like how the information was presented in a way that it could be used in both my coaching and teaching careers. I have already started to look at when a good time to take another of these courses would be. Thank you for the excellent class.”
    Travis Nuss, Gowrie, IA

  • “This is my third class and was by far my favorite – and I plan on taking the new one as well! I was able to acquire several strategies and techniques that I look forward to using next year in my classroom. The course did a great job of reinforcing and connecting the information from the Leading to Make a Difference and Teaching to Impact Lives classes that I took earlier this year.”
    Debbie Graven, IL

  • “This course was well developed and thorough. The content was excellent and covered many aspects of making an environment that students will feel safe in, and motivated to learn. The ideas that I got from the videos and text will help me in teaching 8th grade math next year. This is the first time that I have taken a video course and for all the reasons above, I will definitely consider taking another class like this one.”
    Betty Foxhoven, Council Bluffs, IA

  • “Creating an Environment for Success is the third course I have taken through Educational Resources of MN. As the first two courses were, this was also an excellent course. Once again you have found excellent presenters and included a text that was both informative and inspirational. I highly recommend this course to anyone working with students/athletes and believe it will inspire others in creating their own environments for success.”
    Rich Rogers, Troy, PA
