“This course was very helpful because it was so practical. The strategies the speakers shared are things that I can easily transfer because they are pretty much universal. They relate to working with others as a leader or teacher in many different realms. I appreciate this course in comparison to some of the other graduate courses I’ve taken because of its practical nature. I have already recommended it to some of the other music faculty in my school. “How often can we say that the course we just took is 100% relevant to the teaching and coaching we do? After taking Leading to Make a Difference and Teaching to Impact Lives, I can say with full certainty that both of these classes are more applicable than any other that I’ve had. In some instances I have used the message I heard and implemented it immediately to the next day’s lesson in class or incorporated it to my coaching the next day. How often do we take a class and are so motivated by it that we want to hear the same lecture again, read the same book again or want to go over our notes again because we want to fully grasp the content? That’s what I’ve experienced with these two classes. I’m actually excited to enroll in another one. This isn’t about adding the credits to bump my pay. These classes are making me a better educator!”

“The Teaching to Impact Lives video course was a wonderful resource with many interesting and practical ideas. The couse was varied and introduced ideas covering a whole range of motivational and attitude changing concepts. There were big ideas that covered a whole program and small ideas on how to deal with an individual. All in all a great class and one that has sparked a renewed interest for me in my profession.”

“I enjoyed this class very much since it was outside of my comfort zone. I am a Speech-Language Pathologist and after taking this course I have done a paradigm shift. I have started to integrate some of the strategies and techniques that I have learned from this class into my teaching repertoire. This was an excellent graduate course to take and I learned something new from every modal. I would encourage all of my colleagues to take this course and it is a great value.
