Be a Great Teacher provides onsite and online classes for educators.
For the past twenty years, Be A Great Teacher has provided professional development for thousands of educators. We pride ourselves on delivering courses that educate, inspire, and empower teachers. Our courses offer educators, coaches, counselors, and administrators tools that they can use to develop unique, safe, healthy educational spaces where everyone can thrive.
Bob Fink is the founder of Be A Great Teacher (formerly Educational Resources of Minnesota). Be A Great Teacher offers week-long classes in Ohio every summer and is nationwide with their online video and independent study courses. This video was produced while Bob was teaching and coaching full-time. We think you will really connect with what he has to say!
Now retired from teaching after 32 years in the classroom, Bob continues his work with Be A Great Teacher. He is currently developing presentations for professional development courses and continues to create courses for Be A Great Teacher. While teaching, Bob he was named the regional WEM Outstanding Educator Award winner for Teacher Achievement in 2014. In 2016, he was named the Springfield Public School Teacher of the Year and the Minnesota Class A Baseball Coach of the Year. After retiring from baseball coaching, Bob was named the head football coach at Springfield in 2018. He guided his teams to two straight section titles and state tournament appearances in his first two seasons as the head football coach. Fink was named the Vikings Gatorade Coach of the Week, the 2019 Southwest District Football Coach of the Year and named the Section Coach of the Year for two consecutive seasons.
Bob takes pride in designing courses that are up to date, practical and “real life.” Courses are designed to give professionals the knowledge and skills needed to make a real difference in helping students/athletes reach their fullest potential. These courses will help educators, administrators and coaches at all levels to inspire, guide and teach today’s youth to be the best they can be!
Students that have taken advantage of these courses say they are life changing!
Ann-Marie has been teaching in a college prep school and as an adjunct faculty member and course designer at the community college level since 1999. Currently, Ann-Marie teaches French, Fitness of Mind and Body, and serves as the Director of Communications and Academic Public Relations at her high school in Phoenix, AZ. Ann-Marie has been awarded Outstanding Teaching awards at all of the institutions where she works, and is involved in her school, fitness, and faith communities. During her one and only year of high school coaching, Ann-Marie led her soccer team to the state title, and (wisely) retired to focus on her family! Proud parent of Zoe (23), Ian (22), and Luke (20), Ann-Marie is the daughter of a career naval officer, having lived all over the United States and in Europe before making her home in Arizona. Ann-Marie has a particular passion for creating a positive environment wherever she goes, and for using mindfulness strategies and techniques to optimize performance in work, at school, and in family life. She is thrilled to a part of the Be A Great Teacher Team, and looks forward to collaborating with and learning from Bob to continue to produce the very best graduate level courses for educators. She looks forward to sharing her passion for teaching and learning for years to come.
