“The positive reinforcement strategies and character building ideas were outstanding. I will recommend this to teachers, coaches and parents that I come in contact with. Excellent stuff! Brad Nemec is an outstanding instructor! Thank you!”
Achieving Peak Performance, Shell Lake, WI
“This is by far one of the most successful coaching classes that I have taken in my sixteen years of coaching high school athletics. This course gave me a chance to introspect and to re-charge my batteries. I was able to take many ideas, concepts, and strategies back to my school and immediately implement them with positive results. I will definitely encourage our entire athletic staff to attend future Achieving Peak Performance classes. The content was excellent and group discussions were highly beneficial. Our instructor, Richard Bechard, is highly qualified to teach this class. In one short week, I realized how lucky Holton High School was to have an athletic director with his abilities. He is an exceptional teacher and leader.”
Pat Boeh , PE Teacher and Head Football coach, Ottawa High School , Ottawa , KS
“If you are a beginning coach or have been coaching for 20 plus years, you need to take Achieving Peak Performance! I’ve been teaching and coaching for over 26 years and walked out of class recharged and excited to try some new techniques. What really impressed me was the fact it reinforced some of the things I’m doing presently, but yet at the same time there are some things I want to change. It doesn’t matter whether you are from a small school or a large school, there is something for everyone. I really wish our entire coaching staff was here with me this last week. If you are looking for something that will improve you, your athletes, parents and staff, you need to take this course.”
Mark Peck, Social Studies teacher, Track Coach, Overland Park , KS
“Achieving Peak Performance is a very informative and helpful class. The work and reading involved is extremely relevant and any teacher or coach will be able to gain ideas, insight and a new perspective after taking this class. Whether you are inexperienced or have taught/coached for over 20 years, this class is very beneficial. Today’s students are changing and this class is very up to date with techniques, programs, research, and ideas to help today’s teacher/coach. I feel this class has changed the way I look at my students and how I go about bringing the best out of them.”
Nate Sims, Laurel, NE
“This absolutely is the best class I have taken in regard to continuing educations. All of the topics covered in the week are the things that we face as coaches and educators in athletics today. I gained many ideas that I look forward to using in my own coaching. And, the best part of the class was the instructor, Tom Keating. He did a great job on touching on all the issues, bringing in guest speakers pertinent to the class, and the handouts, also. To be able to sit in on one of his classes was a great privilege.”
Marla Simon, Rewey, WI
“Achieving Peak Performance was the perfect course for me to attend after a hectic school year. This course was refreshing and uplifting because I realized I was not alone in the education/coaching profession. The stories that were shared, the athletes that we questioned and the guest speaker were all beneficial to any educator or coach. We spent quality time discussing real-life situations, analyzing and evaluating outcomes. I never felt intimidated to ask a question or share a story, and I always received positive feedback or answers. The instructor was obviously educated and experienced with all subjects talked about. Information, stories and advice was extremely interesting and helpful. He supplied a very comfortable atmosphere and enjoyable week. Thanks for offering this course and I will not hesitate to attend another one like this.”
Cher Greving, Elementary music teacher, Logan , KS
“This course is the first that I have taken that has been extremely practical and relevant to my career as a coach and teacher. I’ve learned more about motivating, how to understand our student/athletes and doing what’s best for them and us than any clinic, seminar, or teacher education class I have taken.”
David Hinsch, Lindstrom, MN
“I feel that this class was an excellent class for coaches and teachers in that it taught concepts and strategies that can be used in the athletic arena and the classroom. The informational experiences related by the instructors and participants were helpful in knowing that we as coaches and teachers aren’t alone in the problems and situations that arise and knowledge in knowing how to handle those situations will help us in the future. The instructor (Mike Karl) is highly qualified and conducted the class in an environment of openness and sincerity, along with complimentary knowledge. I would encourage any coach, teacher or administrator to attend a class of this kind.”
Wilhelm Braun, Middle School teacher, Brownell , KS
“This course was excellent! Out of all the classes I’ve had in my life, this would have to be one of my favorites and one of the best. I learned many things that I will apply to my coaching and teaching.”
Scott Yates, Elk Horn-Kimballton, IA
K-12 Health & PE, Coach
“I thought that the course Achieving Peak Performance was extremely motivational and worthwhile. I was feeling negative about myself and this class provided me with both the “kick in the pants” that I needed and the positive reinforcement that I am doing a good job. Everything that I learned in this class transfers to the classroom because that is really what a teacher is; a coach of a particular subject. I would definitely take another class that is taught in this manner. The level of stress was reduced due to the cooperation between the students and the time blocked for getting work done. The instructors made the environment ’safe’ to express very personal feelings and scenarios that were at times, emotional. This is the type of class that anyone who is not feeling ‘positive’ in their place (in the classroom, at the office, in a relationship) needs to take to help re energize and rebuild their faith in one’s actions and self worth.”
