I enjoyed all the ideas for teachers to try in each video! The books were easy to read and was fun to revisit blooms taxonomy. Ann H., MN
I have thoroughly enjoyed taking the course GIFTS. I especially involved diving into the book "50 Strategies to Boost Cognitive Engagement". It was nice to see some of the things that I do within my classroom identified in the book. It was also nice to learn about some new strategies that I can incorporate into my classroom. Timothy W., IA.
Another great course with Be a Great Teacher. Thank you! Lindsay B., NE.
I liked that it used some skills that I hadn't thought of before such as helping students practice their public speaking skills which I haven't seen as much as a priority in my teaching. Arleigh W., NE
I really enjoyed this class. I am excited to use some of the new strategies I learned in my own classroom and teaching. I also want to tweak some of the previously learned ideas/strategies to fit into my new learning. The book on 50 ways to books cognitive engagement was very interesting and full of so many applicable ideas for 2nd graders to promote those higher levels of thinking and student engagement. Sarah E., OH.
My favorite part about this course was the textbook that listed 50 strategies to improve cognitive engagement. This is one of my weaknesses as an educator so the textbook was able to help me learn new strategies that I can implement an use on a daily basis. This was one of my more enjoyable courses that I have taken with Be A Great Teacher. Alex J., OH
The course was very beneficial. Some of the videos were a little outdated but still had relevant information. The strategies were clear and will be very easy to implement into my classroom without a ton of prep time. Overall the course was good and will benefit my teaching practices. Heidi B., IA.
This was another great course! I love that so many of the strategies suggested in the course work can be easily incorporated into my current units through simple adjustments that will deepen students' learning experiences. Elizabeth D., OH.
I love the courses from Be A Great Teacher because they are so practical and applicable to the lives of an everyday teacher who doesn't have the perfect, idealistic classroom of students. So many times the P.D. that school districts bring in for teachers is based off a situation that could never be replicated in their own district. This course provides simple yet extremely effective ways to improve relationships, thinking, and learning for ALL classrooms. THANK YOU! James D., IA
I enjoyed the course. It worked well with my summer schedule to complete. I look forward to taking more classes from Be a Great Teacher. Charity W., NE
