Another great course! I have really enjoyed taking these classes and plan on taking more as they make me reflect on what I am currently doing in the classroom and what more I can do to make the students I teach really “buy in”. Lisa J., NE.

This course provided great and useful advice to learn to love your work so that your students will love being there as well. It gave great reminders to be happy, energetic and give off positive energy so that students will absorb it and be happy as well. Another suggestion that I found useful was to implement a reward system of behaviors that you want to see, and to not give attention to behaviors that you do not want to see. This course was very similar to other graduate courses I have taken and gave very useful advice. Betsy S., NE

I thought this course was a really good course to take as a summer course. This course has provided me with new skills and ways to build connections with my students. I also enjoyed the lessons about building GRIT for myself and my students. I also gained a lot of knowledge during the lesson on grief and have new ways that I can support those around me who are going through the grieving process. Casey D., MO.

I really liked the videos that we watched. I think that having something to watch instead of read helps break up the monotony. I also enjoyed the topics that were covered. I feel like every piece of this course can be utilized. In the past, some of my classes felt repetitive and a regurgitation of a previous class. This was not those classes! Johanna B., NE.
